Reformers Unanimous Regional Conference

From the Desk of Pastor Stevens

We were privileged, recently, to host the Reformer Unanimous Regional Conference, which was attended by pastors and people from the Southeastern U.S. The conference consisted of three days of sound Bible preaching, helpful and educational workshops, wonderful Christian fellowship, emotion-evoking testimonies of what God, in His grace, has done, and Christ-honoring joyful music.  The Calvary Baptist Church was blessed in being afforded the opportunity to be used to encourage others in the work of the Lord.  There were at least seven pastors attending the conference who are now considering starting an R.U. chapter at their locations.  Our R.U. ministry, helping people with various “bad habits” to overcome, continues to be a wonderful chance for our folks to be used of God to aid others in their spiritual life.

Our annual faith-promise missions conference begins Wed., March 6, and will continue through Sun., March 10.  This conference, focusing on world-wide evangelism and church-planting, has been a highlight of the church’s yearly calendar since the early 1960’s.  We are looking forward to hearing from missionaries who serve Christ in Brazil, Japan, and Trinidad during the week of the missions conference.  We also plan to speak to other missionaries that we support, via skype, during the services.  May the Lord use the conference to increase our love for Him, and our commitment to serve Him.
